ENGLAND 0 SOUTH AFRICA 36 - FAB

What has a game of Rugby got to do with selling, well everything if you want to win at it.

If you wanted proof that the 100 rule works, you may have watched the England v Sth Africa rugby game, because if you had, you will know it does. Where was the England teams 100 of energy spent, not on winning!!!!!!

So here is something to think about, how many really successful people do you know, how many Guerilla armies that changed the course of history, are negative, miserable and lack conviction?

None that I can think of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So back to the match, if you can call it that, if you were English and had the misfortune to watch 80 minutes of the so called pride of England decimated by the “Boks”, what did you see? Knowing the first step ON YOUR journey of success, can you see why they failed and you won’t???

Well this is what you did not see;

  • Attitude – the game was lost in the first 10 minutes , that 10 minutes was crucial , spirit, determination , a we will win attitude, where was it. Irrespective of anything they should have at least demonstrated to themselves they were winners, by whatever means they should have attacked , guess what they defended
  • Belief – where the hell was that???, if you have true belief, sometimes bordering on arrogance, it will protect you from failure, negativity, depression it will be your absolute direction. To believe is a huge part in anyone’s success, it will be crucial to yours, did you see any in this match, I don’t think so. When Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years, did he survive by thinking he “could or might” change South Africa , no he believed he “can and will” – and guess what, he did.
  • Focus – they must have had focus, but unfortunately it was not on the game in hand, the one that they should have had the attitude and belief they would win –no, not could, would, win. You had scrum halves thinking they were props, props thinking they were fly halves, chaos rained, the focussed “Boks” knowing from belief and attitude that they would win, focussed on their role and pursued it , they won and by a long, long way.

What is not disputed is that the England team has;

  • Knowledge – they must have, it was a game of RUGBY, a game, like SELLING, that requires knowledge to play it.
  • Knowledge alone will not make you a winner , it is a mere tool , DO NOT RELY ON IT TO WIN

Knowledge can be acquired, from books, mentors, training programmes but examine your game, the deal you had lost the deal that you had won, really how much was this due to knowledge or the presence or lack of it of;

  • Focus,
  • Attitude
  • Belief
