Can your house with stand the gales?????

Asked a colleague to review the blog so far, “seems a bit simplistic”, was the grand finding of his summary. I suppose it is really, considering the blogger (me) , but it is simplistic because we are establishing the absolute fundamentals of Guerilla Selling, of selling to win. These fundamentals are not complicated, but as sure eggs is eggs, your personal understanding of them and application, will be far from simplistic.

After all we are dealing with your acknowledgement of where your FAB is, your priorities, your dreams and aspirations.But I digress.

Like any information it is only as good as the use you put it to!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A simple analogy, get the theme, simple, is your favourite book on selling, we all have one. I can guess what happened, you read it , thought what a fantastic idea, tip, message, etc, you finished the book and it now sits back on the shelf, props up the bed or languishes somewhere in that box of other “useful” things.

Now let us both agree that it was full of useful ideas and tips etc, so did you make notes , highlight them, screensaver on your PC …….or do you know better?????

Now go back and reread my “simplistic” posts, make notes and action – a technique I had drummed into me in the Armed Forces.

Do you believe you have the FAB ?????

Have you started to diarise where your 100 goes ?????

So why the big issue, well? it is all about houses.

You now think I have lost the plot, but please bear with me. Consider how a house is built, good houses, luxury houses, winning houses are built on simple BUT strong foundations. Now liken the bathrooms in marble, the high tech kitchens , the boudoir bedrooms – analogous to all those nice to have things that a great salesperson needs to have (hint of sarcasm) latest Pentium 27 , best CRM , top in the CEO’s presentation project etc they mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if the FOUNDATIONS/ FUNDAMENTALS are not in place, because like the house if these are not in place your sales career will eventually fall down, so we must do everything to ensure your foundations are the strongest.

Finally, and this is guaranteed to upset most HR managers that visit this blog, there is a free MOTIVATIONAL ASSESSMENT , it is the banner on the side panel, like most things on this blog it is simple to complete , provides a simplistic assessment – but having completed it myself, it is spot on.

Why do it ? A bit of Sun Tzu now, if you don’t know where you are how will you ever know how far you have to go……………………ENJOY
